From the dealer the master and slave cylinder come as a sealed unit... They wont sell them seperate...
But when you go to auto zone you can buy just the slave or just the master..

And has anyone ever just bought the slave cylinder at autozone and used their old master cylinder?

Yes, the new slave cylinder comes with a roll pin. Your press out the existing roll pin (a small diameter punch works) and attach the new slave cylinder. Make sure to bleed the system by pumping the slave cylinder actuator in and out slowly while holding the assembly vertical.

They are all the same regardless where you buy.

I bought a 95 master for $40.00
The 2002 (I think) master goes for nearly a hundred and its the exact same thing down to the molded number in the plastic.
