Unhappy What's wrong 2002 z28

I just took my 2002 z28 to the shop to get work done on brakes. I also got some routine maintenance performed. This was done at Chevrolet. By the way, car has 37,000 miles. I also have automatic transmission. Part of maintenance was transmission flush. When I take my foot off the gas pedal, the car makes a "whining noise" and slows down. It does not seem to coast as it should. My guess is that the transmission is not shifting into high gear or is downshifting inappropriately when taking foot off gas. Please tell me I am not imagining things. I deliver babies. Don't fix cars! When I purchased car, I did get an extended warranty for 6 yr and 60000. I would assume since this is drivetrain, it should still be covered. It is so difficult to get the car to the shop. Have to make arrangements to get another car. Can't ride bike to hospital when baby on the way!!! Thanks. John
