recently changed out my rear end from 3.23 to 3.73 and a friend of my told me my next step should be a shift kit then a 2600 stall converter. then he told me i should move on to cam work, heads... does anyone know of anything else i should change out in the transmission (A4 4L60E) on my way to 500 hp?

used as a dd for now but buying a truck so i can use the z for the 1/4 mile.

 

If you're thinking track then go 3000 on the stall and get it tuned for the stall and gears so that it'll shift right.

 

I think you'll want to have a performance rebuild done to your trans (or you could just replace it, but that's more expensive). Without that, you're going to be dealing with slipping/burned up clutches and other internal transmission problems.
