What would cause a 4L60E to never engage OD ? The shifter goes into the
OD position just fine but the trans will NOT engage 4th gear . Other than
the trans not engaging 4th it shifts perfectly 1st-3rd . Please help ! Thanks !

Its a brand new CPT Pro Race 60E . Long story short I had a Fuddle lose
the front bearings and shed metal into the trans . Had trans gone through
and Frank said everything was okay . Well Since then I went with a Yank
and having 4th gear engaging issues . Im thinking the Sonnax outer servo
or valve body hanging up . Does this sound right ?

Im in the same boat trying to get some reccomendations. I just rebuilt mine and only 4th is barely there.I am wondering the same if something is hanging or something with my billet servo. Does yours shift into 4th at all? Mine does but is slipping really bad in 4th till it hits 3rd gears rpms then feels perfect.I had a forward sprag go out on mine before the rebuild.Could always be a blockage i suppose..

Check that band clearance in not excessive on the 4th servo. particularly if using the billet innner servo for second. Also check that the 4th servo is ok itself/ In the case of the bearing fail I would also check the 3-4 shift valve in the valve body it may be stuck from debris.
