What Trany to go with

Im puttin a Big Block Chevy In my 3rd Gen and im looking for a trany now.... Im not shure what to go with ... whould a T56 hold up to 650+ Hp.... I need something Stong Auto or manul dont matter

A T56 would hold up with some work, but it would be alot easie to stick in a TH-400. With a little work they can be made to hold that kinda power with fair reliability.

I read somewhere a turbo 350 can be made just as strong and is beter becuase there is less rotating mass

They are right there is less rotating mass, but I think it would cost substantially more to make a TH-350 as strong as a built 400.
