what should i shift at?
what should i shift at?
right now i have a stock tuned tranny with a 2800 stall and i have swapped my 3.23's for 3.42's. im running a lt4 hotcam and a set of stage 2 P&P heads with a thermal coated P&P LT1 intake and a 58mm TB with underdrive pullies CAI, basically every bolt on available. i run 275/40/17s on the street and 275/50/15s at the track. what are some good shift points to start with? and whats everyone else shifting at. I also have pcm4less's OBDI conv.
Re: what should i shift at?
thanks a lot a$$...now unless you have something useful or constructive to say, SHUT IT
and this may be a stretch for some to grasp but A4's have shift points too, we just dont have to do the shifting. so incase you are still clueless i was referring to where should i program it to shift at.
Thanks

Re: what should i shift at?
I don't think Lower was being a sarcastic. It's actually best to keep the shifter in 3rd (D) when racing from a light.
I'm not sure about the shift points part - a lot of that depends on mods, etc.

I seriously considered that you had meant shift point, but gave you the benefit of the doubt at being smart enough to find which forum to post your thread.
I was wrong in overestimating your intelligence. My mistake.
But thanks for being a complete jerk about it.
And good luck getting help, what with your attitude and all.
