What rear can I use?

I went to a junk yard today and there was a bunch of 3rd gens though but alot had been striped but some where in good condition. I didnt get alot of the VIN numbers..I may go back tomorrow and write them down.
I did see one though and wrote the VIN...it came out to be an 87 V6 auto.....the chart says that will have the 3.42 gears in..can I use that? I know it will have the 26 spline alxes....its probably not posi...what do I need to make it posi? The car is still on all fours so its not grounded out...like most of the junk cars.

and another was a 90 RS V6 and its on all fours too...that car was almost complete. but on that I would have to buy gears and the carrier.

Can I use a rear prior to 90? what kind of carrier will I need?

All 82 thru 92 differentials are the same size. Just need to find one that has the right gears and posi.
The 93 thru 02 are the same except, are about 2" wider and require use of late model wheels or spacers.
