Thats for the Torque Converter Lockup. Most have 3 wires to the 4-pin plug. The part bolted up front it the TCC Solenoid. Its activation with power and ground are what cause the hydraulic circuit to operate and lockup the converter clutch. The round parts on the ends of the ValveBody are pressure switches. When fluid pressure in that VB circuit are activated and deactivated, those switches transmit the fluid press input to a electical signal or they complete the electrical circuit. One might send a signal to the ECM teling the ECM when 4th gear has been reached. Based on other ECM inputs, the ECM will send a signal back to the tranny and allow the TCC Solenoid to engage...causing the lockup action. There are a few different wire routings and pressure switches. But thats basically the 411 on that. Hope this helps

That's a lot of crap for a NON ELECTRIC tranny!

What can I clean it out with....the parts you can see with the pan off.

Is the tranny being rebuilt or RU just doing the on-car fix? Nothing really to clean. Its always submerged in tranny fluid. Im not sure what UR wanting to clean

It has been siitting with the dipstick tube out of it for a couple years and "stuff" has found its way into the pan. Leaves and stuff, I guess.

But anyway, there's some "stuff" on the wires and some other parts.

I guess I could just take some paper towels and clean everything off.

The pin was sticking out a little bit, so I pecked it back it.

What makes the pin come out, because from looking at at, it serves no purpose...as well as the spring inside.
