what to get: 4L60e tranny and Torque Converter

OK, so I need a tranny and will need a T/C.

So, for trannys, there's FLT, TCI, Performabuilt, and others.

For Torque Converters, there's Yank, PerformaBuilt, B&M,
and, sorry, I wont spend the money on an FLT unit.

I havent settled on the tranny, but in ranking order:
1) FLT
2) Performabuilt
3) TCI

... and for the T/C:
1) B&M Holeshot 2400
2) Yank Stealth 2800
3) PerformaBuilt with tranny.

I will either rebuild the engine or get a crate, possibly
the GM crate 405 hp LS6 engine.

Any thoughts on tranny and T/C ?? Pros/Cons for
those trannys and T/C?

Just out of curiosity why not go with CPT? I may be bias because I have one and all, but I think CPT builds saome damn nice transmisions, and they can hook you up with TC recommendations too...

I would say go with CPT and PI converter, but then again that is what I did, and I have been susccesful with it...

The Yank converter is the only thing on that list that I'd put any faith in. You certainly DON'T want a B&M or a TCI converter. My best advice...Do a search on here to check out reputations, and prices. We have the best of both.

With the list stated on transmissions, I would go with FLT, or Performabuilt. As for torque converters, the Yank is good, but I have been using PI's Vigilante on my units with very few problems in the last 11 years, and from my experience, they are the better way to go.
