What gears are the proper gears

I have a beefed up motor, and a 6-speed camaro 94. I keep hearing two different stories about what gears are the proper gears. I was told that 4.10's are better for 6-speeds than 3.73's. I want a gear that is good for everyday driving, as well as on the track. Is this information correct or should I follow my first mind and go with the 3.73's.

the majority of people claim 4.10s with the 6 speed and 3.73s with the auto

3.73 is not even worth doing over the stock 3.42. You notice hardly anything.

Go 4.10, you wont be sorry.

4.10s can get you out of the hole a little faster, but can also leave you shifting into 5th gear just before the end of the track depending on your motor.

I had 4.10's for a while, and they were ok. I have 3.73s in my car now, and personally prefer them.

Not mentioning that 4.10's in our weak 10-bolts are prone to whining and breaking prematurely...
