You should be able to get away with a 2500 stall with no issues from the PCM anything above that may require a retune for the converter,

Get at least a 3000 stall or you will be disappointed. Especially since your car is cammed.

a 2800-3000rpm high quality converter will net the best results and not cause any driveability or computer problems.

is i have put a motor in and trans in so far this year.and i don't have any
extra money for it . and this is my only car for now .so now i will ask what
brand to buy i can only afford to do this once.

To do this right is not cheap, but well worth it. Two of the biggest names out there are Vig. and Yank. Remember that you will need a trans cooler and a shift kit. If I were you, I would not go less than a Vig. 2800, or a 3200 Yank. The two companys rate there stall speed a little differently. GOOD LUCK.

torque converter

I,m going w/a 2800 Vigilante and having the pcm tuned for the stall soon. Also is your car a convertible? As a vert is heavier it could go up to a 3200 stall.Hope this helps.
