I just bought a 93 Z28 and want to know what kind of auto tranny it has. I called to get a filter and gasket and the Autozone guy said that there were two autos listed. I have read that the 93 is a 4L60 (non-electronic) and that it is the same as a 700R4. What's the deal? Also, where is the best place for a filter / gasket.

Its a 700r4 you have in there, aka the 4l60. Autozone should have decent filters and gaskets.
