What all is involved with upgrading to the Viper internals in my 6-speed? What will it change as far as abuse it can take? How much does this upgrade usually cost? And who does it?

well, the only thing viper thats worth using is the input and output shaft. not positive, but i hear there's some machining involved in the case to make that work. D&D performance makes a good one.

I know there is a bit more than just a better input and output shaft. I know the syncros are much stronger as well. But I am sure there is more than just those two items that are bettered. I need info from someone who has more intimate knowledge on it. As well as a good price. I think I have heard it costs something like $1500 to upgrade a T-56 to the Viper internals, but I don't know for sure. Does anyone out there know on these?

I think it's just the output shaft that is changed. That is all D&D does and most conversions come from that shop. Here is a pic of what they change out.

Doesn't make sense to change the input shaft. It's the output shaft that has the torque multiplied to it from 1st and 2nd gears.
