today outta the blue my car started making this weird loud noise. it only does it when i have the clutch pressed in(shifting, decelerating etc) adn i have no idea why it's doing it! its a loud metal on metal noise. it also does it when i'm at a constant speed just letting off the gas, w/ out using the clutch. is it the through out bearing? something in the tranny?

could it be something in my rear end sending a vibration up through my driveshaft?

 

Hard to tell, but from what you described, I had simular sounds, and it was bad TO bearing and my clutch disk disassembled itself in 2 parts. Next day it comletely gave up and car was towed home.

 

see i thought it was that too but when i went to limp my car in the garage it wasn't making a noise. so like 10 mph and above it makes that noise...its hard tellin. i really hope its something easy.
