Website for clutch install??
Thanks to the shop mechanic that insisted on laying about 40' of rubber repeatedly right after my car's tires hit the ground after the installation, my SPEC Stage III clutch is now slipping after 2,500 miles. Naturally the shop owner denied any wrongdoing by his precious tech, so I decided to cut my losses and replace it myself. Is there any site on the Web that shows how to do a 4th Gen clutch? I don't know how much more difficult it would be than my '76 Trans Am other than the electrical hookups and the T-56 is bigger. Thanks to anyone that can steer me in the right direction......

Its not hard at all. Here is the install page I used. If you have any questions PM me or email me at hanchettcraig@hotmail.com The install is on a LS1 but for the most part its the same only thing is "Remove the 2 10mm bolts with a 10 mm box-end wrench. Then pull the slave forward and around the front of the input shaft and let hang freely. The transmission can now be lowered and put out of the way. " does not pertain to us. When you remove the slave cylinder (self explanitory when you see it) pull on the end of the clutch fork so it comes out of the throwout bearing, it will snap out of a spring clip and fall down. Note it will NOT be fully removed from the trans just hang loosy out of the TB but remain bolted to the trans, you'll see what I'm talking about when you get there. Nothing about the job is hard, just take your time and your good. Remember when reassembling the trans to the bellhousing that its alluminum, easily stripped or cracked! Take your time, first time I did it took about 5 hours, now I could probably do it in half the time.
