I have a 94 Z28 camaro I want to swap out a 6.0 lq9 engine into it. I have a guy that will make a wiring harness for me to make that end easier. Does anyone know what other issues I may run into with it. oil pan fitment engine fitment. Also the car is a automatic I just am going to stay with the stock trans for now I know I will have to have it built. but until I have the money for that I will roll easy with the factory one. The place I am getting the engine said I would have to swap flywheels but they will supply that as well. looking forward to your help and input thanks.

 

Pretty sure you can't keep the trans, but more knowledgeable people will probably know.

 

I think the trans will work, but you'll have to use a flex plate adapter to mount the LT1 trans to the LSX block. It moves the flex plate back about 1/2" to make it work.

I've been researching putting the same engine in to my '94, but mines a six speed car.
