"Viperized" t56 or Th400

My 97 Z is putting down 502rwhp/ 450lb-ft. For what it's worth, my 4L60E is supposed to be a race prepped tranny but I have little confidence in it to survive once I start going to the track.

I was planning on having Chuck @ FLP build me a tH400. However, a friend of mine keeps telling me to look into a built t56. Now that I am close to having my current set up dialed in, I am planning on adding a 100 shot of nitrous for the track. Does anyone have any thoughts on which conversion would be a better way to go?

Thanks
