Viper T56 Questions

I just picked up an 03 Viper T56, will this be a direct swap into my 99 T/A? What are the differences between this and a regular T56? I'm hoping if anything all I'll need is a new bellhousing. Any information would be greatly appriciated.

I don't believe it is anywhere's near a direct swap. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe the entire case is different, and only the internals are similar.

Re: Viper T56 Questions

Well I've finally come up with some things doing searches on the net and have found out the bellhousing and input shaft are definitly not direct swap parts but I can put an fbody bellhousing and input shaft directly into the Viper T56 without any modification. But on the other hand some have said the case itself may not be the exact same size which may mean cutting the floor in a different spot and modifying the console...I'm still looking for more info on this...BTW the tranny turned out to be from an 04 not an 03.

Haha, just sell the thing. The amount of money it will take you to convert it will be more than to buy an f-body t56 and have a steel fork and the synchos changed. And unless you're running 10.7's in the quarter which I can guarantee by your mods you are nowhere near, save your money and skip the viper output shaft.

Re: Viper T56 Questions

Well from what I've been reading that's what i've been thinking of doing...I paid $100 for it so I could turn it down! I can easily make a lot of money on it.
