Very bad transmission noises

Ok I just drove cross country in my Z and it treated me real well, got it up to 130, and averaged about 90mph. ONly thing is now the tranny is whining like CRAZY. Sounds like I got a damn blower on there. Also, when I try to shift into first sometimes, or when I engage the clutch, the gears will briefly grind. What the heck is wrong with my tranny? Cuz I definately don't have the money to do any expensive fixes!

are you sure it's not the rearend gears whining? Sounds like you may be low on tranny fluid.

Check you fluid level now... When mine got that bad it only last a day or 2 before the the whole tranny imploded on itself...

BTW, not this car, my old M6...
