Valeo cltuch disk oem?

I just finally ripped the old clutch outta my tranny today. It was in 2 pieces and the clutch disk was ripped into 2 pieces where as it was once 1. Anyways i was looking at it and its a valeo disk so i got figuring, the factory disk isnt valeo is it? cuz the valeo is like all organic and the stocker is iron based i thot? car has 144,xxx kms which is 9x,xxx miles so i guess it could be the 2nd, just wanna know if the stocker coulda been a valeo. thanks

I am pretty sure that there is on e company that makes them for everyone. I thought it was valeo, but could be wrong. I am pretty sure that it is though.

This hasn't come up in a long time, but I thought I remember it being Valeo.

It's Valeo for LT1 and LUK for LS1. The Valeo is a great clutch even for high HP cars up to 400+ HP i think. I had mine in for a long time and just replaced it with the same clutch.

it is organic and it is valeo. tried to have my clutch rebuilt and he told me he had no material to rebuild it. they ordered me a valeo and put different springs in the pp to get some more clamping power. got 40000 on it and still grabs like a champ

my stocker worked perfectly fine until i put et streets on the back. I didn't get 3 runs on the stock clutch. Burned it up so bad i had to replace the flywheel.

Re: Valeo cltuch disk oem?

im actually suprized that my clutch did last as long as it did....144,xxx kms aint bad. Im puting a Ram pressure plate in....hopefully it will hold till i start tearing it apart and making it irresponsibly fast....what would the step up after a valeo be? for power ratingsof say 500-6xx flyhp
