U-joint removal
i use a balljoint press and a hammer. you can also use a vise and a large drift punch. its not really that hard to get them out but putting them back in is the trickey part. you have to take the caps off the new joint toget the new one in and then hammer or press them into the driveshaft without letting any of the needle bearings fall out. it takes some practice to get good at.
The factory joints are glued in with a plastic substance. For easy removal you'll need to heat them with a torch (a small plumbers propane torch will work) until the plastic melts and starts squirting out, then use one of the above mentioned methods.
