Hey all, I just had to replace the transmission in my car, and I've almost got it in but I noticed the the kick down cable has shredded (the wire has strands breaking off of it and getting stuck inside the tube) and it doesn't want to move back and forth like it did before I took the transmission out.. Should I just go ahead and replace the cable or take some wire cutters and cut the strands off of it? My main question is, what kind of problems could this have caused my car before if it was getting stuck?
