Turbo 400 GUYS: temp sensor location?

Before I put this turbo 400 tranny in my 93 I was going to put a transmission temperature gauge in the car. I am thinking that in the deep pan is the best location but I would have to pull the pan off and drill a hole and hope that the sensor that come with the gauge has fittings for this application. Maybe it would be best to weld a bun hole?

In the line does not sound like a good location to me for accuracy.

Thanks for your input.

Jim

I think your best bet would be to install a dist block in the outgoing (to the cooler) tranny line to install the tranny temp sensor in. Id be afraid that you wouldnt get an accurate reading in the pan. Just my .02 Prorac1
