You may have a Torque arm meant for use with an aftermarket cross-member if it's too short. The Automatic and manual transmissions all use the same length torque arms if it mounts to the transmission; some aftermarket ones mount to a cross-member which either needs to be bolted or welded into the car.
it bolts to the trans cros brase. the brase its self. you nead to drill a hole in the brase to mount it my brase is about 2 inches to short or less i will post a fue picks of min and one a gy sed is a 95 6 sped brase that dosent lock like min and myn is a 6 sped and a p5 it may be a little wider but i cant return it to the deler if its like min so i am trying to see if ane one can tell them apart the brases shoud be the same from 93 to 97 i may be rong thow
hers a link of the two brackets the one on the car is min and a persen sed the one of the car is the 6 sped and min locks like a auto but i have a stick please take a lock and see if you can trll the 93 to 97 use the same brackets mabe you can ask your frens with these yers to take a lock to try to tell them apart hers the link

Good on ya Bin.. I wish I still had mine to measure.
Pat, I sent you another PM, but is there anyway you can take pics of it mocked up (the front half that attaches to the trans crossmember) you can use a jack or jack stands to put it in position, and then snap some photos.
The reason why I ask, I am curious if you are not putting the mounting point under the rear drivers side passenger seat in the right spot.
Hopefully we will get this figured out for you.

Have you figured this one out yet?
I got a chance today to compare an automatic and a manual transmission mounting brackets and the manual transmission mount crossbrace sits about 3" more to the rear of the car compared with the automatic.
It seems impossible to be able mount an M6 transmission using an automatic crossbrace.
My guess is that the you have a torque arm for a special crossbrace, like 97formulaWS6 said.

Okay just took some pics:
This is what the torque arm should look like when its correctly bolted to the rear driver's side back seat.

This is how far the bolt should be in relation to the groove on the mounting plate for the trans brace.

The red arrow points to the area that you should be drilling for the torque arm. This brace is for a M6 1993-2002 F-body as viewed from the top down in the installed position.

The brace flipped over.

Hopefully the pics help.

i must have a auto brase bekos it is 2 to 3 inches short . on a 98 m6 the cros brase has to spots war the cros brase extends to the back and it is 2 to 3 inches longer than the 95 brase he mounted it ther ther is 2 pre driled hols in that brackit and its not his falt he got the car used ./and i did get this for durt chep i think i am going to have a welder ad a box pce of tubing to it to try to get the over all lanth right .global west sed its only the lanth from the ruber bushing to the end that are diferent bit they coudent give me a mesher mint .it was ether cut the tubing abd ad a roung pce in side or ad a square pce to the out side have to sak a engener the cuting will not be chep the box pce woud only ned one good weld aroind hoply
I think it would be a lot cheaper and easier to find a used tranny brace from a junk yard. There should be some specialty F-body related junk yards online.

I'll try to take pictures tonight of the length however I think the correct crossmemeber would be much easier to deal with.

Dude...disregard my last post.... looks like you have the wrong torque arm for your application. =( I measured the length based on the pictures that you sent me and it measures roughly about 19.5 - 20 inches. So you are correct that its about 3 inches too short.
