well we installed a new motor an my old new trany (my stock one has been upgraded to a jasper racing trany not that old maybe 20,000 miles on it) we put a 2400 stall in it. it did shiff fine before we took it out .when we got the motor in it was running bad but trany shiffed fine . then it seemed like it started holding back or something. the car has been tuned now and the motor runs as it should , but it dont want to shift. i think it's from not putting any fluid in the torque converter. i had some help putting the trany in and they are ("rocket sci. and nasa is looking for them)you cant fuss with them (but i couldn't not have put it in with out them.. thanks). so we put it in withot the fluid . i bet this missed the trany up. any one know?
