Hey i hope some body can help me i have a 95' trans am and it has 110,000 miles on it and the automatic transmission works good on all gears except for 1,2 it wont shift unless i back off the gas and then it will shift and if i don't do that the motor revs up ,and then i feel a little shake and vibration, and weird noise coming from underneath the car i don't know if its coming from the tranny or the drive shift, i tried fixing the shifting problem by changing the automatic transmission shift solenoids A,B and it didn't work i read some where i don't remember where but this guy had kinda the same problem and some one told him that it was the pressure control solenoid,please help me out this is my only car right now and i need to get it running good i don't wont to drive it like this i don't wont to mess up the transmission , thanks

 

Do not let it do this anymore, as you will lose 2nd and 4th entirely. Put a pressure gauge on it and see what the readings are. If you do not have the Corvette servo in there, you could go with one or the Sonnax 2nd gear servo, and this might save it for awhile if the 2-4 band is not glazed too badly.

 

thanks for your help, but can you tell me how i can check the pressure, and what to look for as in whats normal in readings , and where s the best place to find a corvette servo or the sonnax 2nd gear servo , oh and i forgot to mention that i have not driven the car for about 5 years because tranny and other things went wrong with it so i hope that the bands are good because it was just starting to do that when i stopped driving it . thanks for your help please let me know what you think
