wellp my trans is basically gone.. if i stop it acts like its in neutral and i have to pull it down into 2 or 1 to make it go again.. goin around realy slow turns i have to pul it back in D.. the shifts are softer than theyve ever been and it slips goin into every gear. but it drives fine after it goes into the gear.. oh and no downshifting cause it just runs up to the rev limiter unless i do it manually which would eventually hurt the trans more probly *shrug* but it all started last night runnin it through the gears i heard a loud pop right as it was shiftin to third, hasnt been right since that and is getting worse VERY quickly. also checked the fluid and its still blood red and doesnt smell burnt, this is the only thin that has me confused... any takers as to what may have happened??

Edit: ok i drove it a little more today and got the feel of what its doin, under 25mph i could swear its in Neutral, im not sure if the clutches are just that destroyed or what, but once your goin its fine. the car shifts great into O/d but wont shift into 3rd unless ur completely off the gas, also checked the fluid again and its still perfectly normal, like new this is the most confusing part of it all, im gonna take it in monday and get a fluid/filter change and have the mechanic peak around for me a bit, if its anything major im puttin a 6spd in and callin it a day

really has me baffled that the gears seem to work normal at highway speeds, but it acts like its still in o/d at a stop and cant put any power to the ground like neutral, but pulls out just fine if i put it down into 2 or 1.. *shrug* and have to shift down to D if under 20mph...

 

could this maybe be a blown shift solenoid or somethin wrong with the torque converter?? this all started the other night runnin through the gears.. top of third heard somethin sound like it blew up *shrug*... but anyways i was out in the driveway with it tonight tryin to figure it out just by selecting gears and watching the tach, well when i pull it into O/d it bogs down by about 50-100rpms and the lights start to flicker on the gauges a litle bit.. same with D and then when i pul it down to second it acts normal. though the shifts from 1-2 are still a lot weaker than theyve ever been, i did notice that the shift from O/d down to D or D to 2nd isnt the trans slipping its going into neutral, noticed this tonight when i tried it again, and soon as i let out it snapped into gear instead of easing the rest of teh way in like it did the first time the trans went out, and the fluid is still bright red and has no burnt smell...

more confused now

 

pull the pan and see if the filter is still attached to the front pump. if its laying in the pan, theres your problem
