Transmission Vibration - time for a new mount?

I have noticed that I have picked up a vibration in my transmission (I think). At idle, it is not noticeable, but if I increase the revs, even in neutral, the car starts to vibrate. In the past, I have noticed a bad vibration if I am off the gas in third gear (gear selector in "D") at a higher RPM as well.

I wasn't sure if a new mounting bushing would be a good place to start, or if I could easily tell if the old one was bad. I'm just hoping it's not something internal in the transmission.

Thanks.

I think im getting the same thing. Do you hear the vibration or just feel it in the shifter? I can hear a rattling vibration when i get around 5k.

I feel the vibration throughout the car. It doesn't seem as bad when I'm actually driving, except for the 3rd gear thing. Also, I don't have to rev to 5k to feel it, more around 2-3k.

I have an M6, so the stick goes right to the trans. i can feel it in that sometimes, but i can hear it from under the car.

Not 100% sure on this particular car...but I know on my 3rd gen...if the mount was broken, the sure fire way to tell was my 1-2 shift at WOT would cause the driveshaft to hit the floor board. Other than that, no extra vibrations
