My trans is slipping in all gears, worse in overdrive and drive but still slips in 1st and 2nd. My question is what should I be looking for being on a limited budget. Are there any other options besides 4l60e that are direct bolt ins without problems or do I just need to be looking for a 4l60e. Do I need anything else besides the tranny? I'm on a tight budget and need to figure this out soon. What are my best options?

 

Your best option would be to get a rebuilt or built unit but given your on a budget You will need to find a used 96 or 97 4l60e from either a camaro, firebird, impala, s10 2wd truck with 4.3 litre will all direct swap. I will say however many times budget deals turn out to be far more expensive than doing it right
