transmission shift points

Not very often but sometimes when the transmission shifts into second gear the engine
will hit the rev limit and then shift into second gear spinning tires on the normal shift ..
the shift kit has three settings don't know what kind it is was in the car when I bought it
has only done this a few times in three years. did this before and after the tune and
the vigilant 2800 stall converter. what's going on ???

Re: transmission shift points

Do I need to get the the rev limit moved up ?
change shift kit ?
prepare for a New transmission ?

fluid level is good transmission shifts fine 98%of the time and it doesn't slip

Re: transmission shift points

If anyone happens to stumble across this looking for help wondering why there transmission does not
shift into second gear at ( WOT ) are it seems like it holds in gear longer than it should and the
transmission is not slipping here are some of the things that I have found out that will cause this

(1) change the transmission filter
(2) have a transmission shop check the shift solenoid
(3) there is some kind of pressure spring in the transmission
(4) the sun shell could be warped
(5) the valve body could be partly stopped up

Looking at some of the other post on transmissions there doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic here so
help is hard to get !! and I'm no expert and some of the things that have listed my be incorrect however when I diagnose my problem and learn more I will update it. some help is better than none

I thought I replied to this a few nights ago???
Is your "shift kit" the electroni9c thing with a switch you can adjust whenever you want?
