Transmission Rebuilds- Who Does Good Work?

Anyone know of any reputable shops in the Frederick, Maryland area that does good transmission work?

I had already brought my car to Chesapeake Transmission in Glen Burnie, who had ****** my car up. My "quality rebuild" lasted 10,000 miles. Don't EVER bring your car to these idiots.

Sadly, this shop was recommended by numerous people from CamaroZ28.com. Any other suggestions for a shop that is actually competent?

FWIW, I'm having a tranny built from Art Carr. They're running a special for $1,899.00. That includes a 9.5 torque converter custom built to my specs. My total came to $2,264 including the $250 core charge. The trans is capable of handling 700 + horse and it comes w/ a 1 year warranty. The only downside is it's gonna take a few weeks to get it. Good luck with whatever decision you make; these 4L60-E's sure are tempermental.

Dan, I had to edit your topic to remove the "over-riding" of the language filter. Please don't over-ride the language filter! If we didn't care if people posted with foul language we'd turn the filter off

Also, I'll move this over to the Drivetrain forum for ya. Good luck!
