Transmission problems in 93 z28 automatic.

Just the other day my car began to hesitate when shifting 3rd to 4th. It felt like it was slipping as it would rev higher and then finally catch the gear. I'm a novice when it comes to transmissions. Can someone tell me whether this is something that will lead to major problems or maybe what it is that is wrong? Any help is appreciated.

My transmission is doing the same thing....I am talking to cpt to get it rebuilt. Originally I was going to put a shift kit into it to try and save it for a little longer...I figured I am not going to be driving it much longer for the winter, so next summer a nice new transmission can get beat on.

Sounds like you're seeing signs of the 2-4 band going out. What condition is the fluid in?
