Transmission Problems

Hello All,

I just installed a new 4L60E that was supposedly built for 700 hp by a reputable shop. Today i took it out for the first drive. It was shifting really softly in 2nd a little better in 3rd and forth and any time you gave it any throttle above 50% it would go straight to rev limiter but would drive fine other wise. So on the drive back it all of the sudden just dropped out a gear and won't shift into any gear now. I made sure the linkage was tight and also shifted through the gears and could hear click click from the linkage. I managed to put it in neutral and roll it back to my house but it won't move or anything in R, 1,2,3,4 . It has a 3000 edge racing stall if that helps. Also The shifter also seems to float through the gears easy as well. Anyone have any ideas? I really appreciate all the help. Thanks.

Certainly sounds internal. Take it back to the shop that messed it up. It sounds like you may have multiple problems, though.
