transmission performance button?

transmission performance button?

i had a friend telling me about this, he told me that its something in a kick panel that u can wire up for "performance mode" on transmissions, wondering what hes talking about since ive never heard of it before

ok, he said he found it on shoebox's website, but idk what his website is, i tried shoebox.com and that wasnt right. So does anybody know what this actually does?

Found in the schematics/wiring part of his site. I think it pretty much just firms up the shifts a little bit by increasing the line pressure, but maybe someone else can chime in here.

I have it. It holds each gear a bit higher and makes the shifts more firm. I don't like it on the street... it somehow doesn't feel "right." And at the track under WOT, it doesn't seem to make a difference... so I never use it.

you can set the shift points w/ tunercat. you can have a ''street'' mode and race mode.all at the flip of the switch,and with shift points at the rpm you specify for both modes.this is why i own 3 z28s.gotta love em.
