Anyone else have a TA or camaro with one of these bottons right above the shifter? How can you tell when its on? What does it do?

That is the performance shift option. When it is on your shifts should be much firmer. My buddy had one and i thought he had a shift kit because he would chirp second on demand, it was just that button.

At WOT there is no difference with it on, or off. WOT uses the same shift tables as that button does, except the button uses those tables all the time. It makes part throttle shifts a lot firmer, especially when it shifts at 3k-4k rpm. There should be a light that turns on when the button is pushed. I made my own button, and light since camaros did not have them, but used the same computer as firebirds.
