Question Transmission cooler line leak.

My transmission cooler line is leaking I believe it's the high presser side.
Here is a pic and where it is leaking right from the fitting.
Not my pic but this is the line.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/crazypurgatory/8476718483/How can I fix it?
I know I can take it to a hydraulic shop and have them fix it but that would not be till Monday and I would rather do it my self if I can?
Thanks,

Re: Transmission cooler line leak.

If you want the factory style crimp like that then you can take it to the hyd shop or buy replacement line. If you want to fix it yourself you can use a angle grinder or dremmel type tool and make a cut the length of the crimp only cut through metal do not get into hose, you can get it really think and peel the aluminum crimp off and re clamp. You can get correct size fuel injection clamps so they apply equal pressure all the way around. I like to use 2 clamps. Hope that helps you!

Lightbulb Re: Transmission cooler line leak.

Thanks for the info.
I can't believe what happen the Line came loose.
Two years ago the like came loose and I blew the transmission.
I hop this time the transmission is good I think I caught it in time.
I know it's down 3-4 quarts it just started to give me problems about a mile away from my house.
I just don't understand how this line keeps coming loose there is nothing wrong with the fitting in the radiator or the fitting on the line.
I'm going to put some lock tight on it this time.
