Transmission cooler

Is a 4" x 11" x 1 1/2" stacked plate cooler enough for a 3200 stall vig if I'm running it through the factory cooler first?

Re: Transmission cooler

The nearest b&m one is 7500 btu. This is one off of a turbo grand prix.

Not if you want the trans to live.

I'd go (and did) with an 11x11 plate type, and skip the factory cooler. You want to see 165 trans temps, not 195-200 like you get with the factory thru the rad approach.

Never reuse a trans cooler; who know what is in it that might kill your trans.

New cooler caost under 100 bucks... my trans is worth about 2 grand. You do the math.
