Transmission bolt pattern ?s

O.K. here's what I need to know. Do all years of 3.8's have the same bolt pattern?

I read once that the only differance between the LT1 and the V-6 4l60e was the # of clutches inside. Leading me to beleive the 3.4 and 3.8s have the same bolt pattern as the LT1 and all earlier SBCs for that matter.
I am wondering if when they changed to the LS1 with the differant pattern did they change the bolt pattern on the 3.8 also so they had the same trany. shell?

If any one knows I could sure use the info. Thanks.

The V6-60*'s have there own bolt patteren it is all metric.
V6-60*s and earlyer I-4's all have the same bolt pattern.
That is the only reason I have a week *** T-5 behind my 3.4L
4.3L V6's have the same bolt patteren as SBC.
I-6's (even the new I-6) also have the same bolt pattern as SBC.
LS1 has the same bolt pattern minus 1 bolt near the top right side of the engine.
now figure out if the 3.8's are the same as 4.3 and you will know.
I haven't herd that the 3.8's and 4.3 have different bolt pattern.

O.K. thanks for the great info. I still have not found the answer to my question though. If any one knows for sure on the 3.8 please let me know.

So by what you said in this post and the other that you replied to I asume that all past and present 60 deg. V-6s have the same pattern, which is about the same as an LS1. So I could bolt an LS1 into an old 2.8 Chevy Beretta ?? I take it the 3.4 is a 60 deg. and the 3.8 and 4.3 are 90 Deg. ? Sorry for all the trouble guys, I just really need to know.
Thanks

The 3.8 is a Buick motor and AFAIK has the BOP bolt pattern which is different from the Chevy bolt pattern.
