Transmission Blown??!!
Hey guys,
I have a 95 formula A4. The other day very cold out, i drove the car to school. Rode bout half mile to the highway and turned on. Kind of got on it. Accelerated in 2nd to bout 5000 RPM's guage indicated trans all of the sudden slips bad and I let out. Cruise off the highway and have it in drive. When I go to hit the gas NOTHING like I was revin in neutral. Somehow it rolled far enough to parking lot where I gave it some gas and it barely inched forward to get me close enough to push. I got out and checked fluid. Looked bright pink and was not burnt at all. Dont know what is going on but its really odd to me that the transmission would just blow like this all of the sudden. there were no symptoms beforehand at all. i recently got this car back running after it sat for about 4 years. the trans had been rebuilt with ****ft kit and factory stall converter restalled to bout 2500 id say. it shifted hard and never missed a beat before. And was running PERFECT! before. Let me know if I am missing something or I really blew this thing up already.
Thanks
