Transmission

would a automatic 4L60E transmission out of a 01 fit into a 94 without any mods? if not what would i need to modify to get it to fit?

The bolt pattern is not the same (LT1 vs. LS1) I hear they got rid of one hole and moved it somewhere else, so it may not be too horrible to modify it to work. I wouldn't spend any money unless I was sure I could get it to work, though.

yes it would physically fit but the wiring would need some modding because the 94 wiring harness is for a different solenoid setup tha all the rest of the years of F Body production.

SO the only transmission your saying that will fit in a 1994 is another 4l60e out of another 1994. I thought you could use any 94-97 lt1 transmissions but wasnt sure.

I bought one out of a 99 and it wouldn't work in my car (95)....the bolt pattern was different and the wiring i was told was different. So for me it didn't work. I just got mine rebuilt.
