transbrake and converter

I just purchased a 4500rpm vigilante but it only stalls to 4000rpm on the transbrake. Vicki at Precision said specifically it would stall to 4500rpm on the brake and flash to around 4800rpm on the bottle. She had my dyno sheets to look at as well, would could be causing my converter to only stall at 4000rpm? Please help out guys. I also had a tci ultimate street fighter 3800 that would only go to 3000 on the transbrake. I just had the tranny rebuilt, clutch plates etc. Any ideas? Something in the valve body bad possibly? It is a manual valve body.

Re: transbrake and converter

Sounds like you need a different convertor if your trying to leave at 4 grand.

My stall is a 3500 and I can only leave at about 3200 max off the brake...thats a TCI convertor.

Re: transbrake and converter

what do you mean I need a different converter. The vigilante will stall on the brake 4000/4100, before the tci was only reaching about 2900.
