Trans was whining, now slipping......???
Trans was whining for about 3 days, now slips and whines...
Is it the torque converter or pump??
Is the rest of the tranny re-usable.???
Help......

Many things could wine on a 4L60E.May possibly be the filter whining.Bad thing about that is that something may be coming a part and clogging it up.We get a lot of whining filters.Does it slip in both forward and reverse?Most of the time if it's the pump,converter,or filter it will slip both ways.Pull the stick out and see if if it looks or smells burnt.
