Trans Temps going sky high

I just bought my camaro a few months ago. It has been well maintianed. The transmission is heating up really bad especially in stop and go conditions. I am thinking about a rebuild but wanted some opinions on the issue. I have a small trans cooler mounted in front of the radiatior. Are the Radiators with built in trans coolers better? The car does good on it's operating temp until the trans gets way up and it cause engine temps to go up too. I have been told I have a 2200 stall and a shift kit put on the transmission when it was rebuilt. The whole car only has 79,000 on it and has shot the trans once already. I am starting to have problems with this one I think because it gets so damn hot. Just wanting some idea's how to resolve the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Heat shouldn't be a big problem with a 2200 stall. But your cooler may be to small for the temps in your area or there may not be enough air flow where its mounted at low speeds ,
