Trans Question

Alright, so I dont have much knowledge on cars. And awhile back I had posted about my z28... the z28 wasnt catching in Drive or Overdrive at first, but then the other day I dropped in Drive and it caught...I took it for a little cruise around the block and got on it and it seemed like it slipped in drive....just revved up...then drive and overdrive werent catching again...this has happened twice. Im just curious to know if this is a trans problem and if I should be getting ready for a rebuild or could it be something else minor? Aguy had told me it was a solenoid ANy advice would be appreciated...thanx!

Re: Trans Question

What year is your car? That will allow us to figure out what trans you have.

Re: Trans Question

Scan for transmission codes and make sure the transmission cable is properly adjusted. If ok, then it is probably rebuild time.
