Ok so the other day I'm on the highway take a quick run to 130 go to throw it into neutral, so I tap the gas and the car lunges forward, trans didnt' go into neutral. Now I noticed that everythign is one click away ex. my park is reverse and neutral is drive. So this suddenly happened too, where should the linkage be at under the car? Could I just have snapped a cable?

 

The shift linkage is bolted to the driver's side of the tranny pan.
