Is it new in the box with everything included? Thats the only way I would buy a shift kit, too many little parts to get lost.
I have a Trans Go in my 94 Z and as far as I am concerned its a must have for an automatic car.
Lots of fun, but just don,t set it on the harshest setting, I did that with my first one and it would spin hard going into second which cost me when racing. I rebuilt the tranny recently and had a new shift kit put in and toned down a bit and now it does a nice chirp instead of a full on screech.

I just got my car back from the transmission shop yesterday, and I think it is definately worth it! My car kicks into gear, and I love it. It's hard for me to believe I have the same transmission (Rebuilt with Corvette TC and Transgo shift kit) I would say go for it.

Bought mine used from a member on LS1.com. I thought I got all the parts(don't know any better) but I guess I didn't(not his fault I dont think). The guy that installed it for me made the shifts as firm as he could but it doesn't shift any harder than it did stock. This also included a stall converter install at the same time which are known for making the shifts soft or slushy. So I know it firmed things up, but all it did was bring things back up to normal. It shifts much more percise, basically wastes no time going from gear to gear like stock. Definately shifts quicker, just not harder. I should have just went out and bought new. I've ridden in several TG installed cars and they get wild from the 1-2 shift, mine unfortunately does not. Whenever I go for a stronger tranny someday I'm going to be sure to get aNEW TG installed. Just make sure you have all the right parts so your time and money doesn't get wasted.

Do not add any spacers if you want a smooth 1-2 part throttle shift. The WOT shift will still be firm.
