trans flush now shift probs
trans flush now shift probs
Just had the trans flushed and filter changed on my 95 TA at the Chevrolet dealer. Now the 1-2 shift at WOT went to 6000 rpm and I had to get off the throttle for it to shift. I have 108k miles on it and haven't had any prior trans problems. Is it possible their machine was running to high pressure and damaged a solenoid?
Under "normal" acceleration the trans shifts fine.

isnt the rev limiter ~5800 rpm? you shouldnt even be able to get to 6000 without hitting the rev limiter 1st...well unless you had it removed. maybe your tach is just off by a few for whatever reason? i know mine reads like 750rpm at the tach at idle, but when i use autotap, the computer see 550rpm.
I had the same problem but mine was from 2-3 and sometimes 1-2 ......Been told it was time for rebuild....But like you said I prior problems....From what I have read on here...It can be the tranny is on its way south......The fresh fluid allows the clutches to slip much more than the old fluid ( which had particles that helped it grab) ......Several other thinks it could be.....Can't think of off hand....Hope you figure something out....
this is correct.....the bands inside the tranny rely on all the crap that's built up over the years for grip......once you flush and change the fluid, they cant grip anymore, and now your tranny is slipping. time for a rebuild.
