Trans Dead - Looking for Recomendations

Well my stock A4 went out, so now its time to replace it with a new one. Please look at my sig for supporting mods and keep in mind the future of the car will be a 383, so i'll need a fairly strong trans. Thanks for your time!

Im gonna have my fully built john goebel transmission for sale soon, full rebuild with crynogenic parts, heavy duty clutch packs ($60 each) and such.. only 3,000 miles on it then I parked the car due to being 18 and not being able to afford gas

damn $3 premium

CPT!
you won't be disappointed... give Frank a call, just out of the blue and talk with him. You'll be sold on the idea in 30 minutes, and happy as a clam with the product.

I'd recomend CPT also. Call 302-250-1202 and you'll be talking directly to the guy that'll build your transmission. His top end rebuild is holding up in some pretty fast cars and cost $1400 + hard parts, that's half of what most ppl charge for their "bulletproof" rebuilds

Check out his website:

One more recommendation for CPT. My TA has gone several low 11 second passes with his trans, which I've had nearly 2 years now.

Stay as far away from Fuddles converters as possible. Frank at CPT recommends Pro-Torque. Precision Industries and Yank also make very good converters.

And depending where you are in Viriginia, you might be able to save some money by dropping off and picking up your own trans. He's in Elkton, MD

Thanks for all the support, guys. It's nice to see so many of our customers have so many nice things to say about us.

BTW Marc, we're in Newark, De. now. We've been in the new shop for a little over a year.

Showstoppers... Give me a call, and we can talk about what you're looking for.

Thanks,
Frank

Well, I see a common bond formed on the internet, we All love our CPT trannies... Mine has been in for what? 3+ years now, and it is helping me get this car to the bolt-on LT1 record even though I weigh a little more and have a few less parts then the current record holder...

I have all the faith in Franks work that his tranny will hold up to whatever I throw at the car after I break that record, my heads and cam package is already sitting here waiting to go in...

a few weeks ago I made 2 trips up there from apex, nc and it only cost about $40 in gas for 2 round trips compared to shipping, so from virginia you might actually save a bit of money if you get decent mpg

FYI - Elkton MD and Newark DE are neighboring cities, he only moved about 6 miles away from where he was, and the shop is much closer to where he lives now...

When he did mine he was in Elkton, and that was only about a 45 minute trip from me, and I recommend dropping it off if possible since it's always a learning experiance wen talking to Frank and Alex about transmisions. Or when they make fun of you for something stupid you did like checking the wrong dipstick, or is that only me. It's a real friendly atmosphere...

Yeah, the only downside is the tolls! IIRC you're looking at $2 each way on I-95 through the Baltimore tunnel and $5 I-95 Susquehanna River bridge northbound only.
