Trans crossmember

Is the cross member on the LT1 the same as the one on an LS1?

Re: Trans crossmember

Don't know the answer but I do know the cross members are different between an A4 and M6 LT1.

Re: Trans crossmember

Both cars would be automatics. One LT1 and one LS1.

Re: Trans crossmember

Don't know if you got the answer yet. The LS1 and LT1 x-members are different. The LS1 floorpan has a one piece stamping from the driver side mid point brace to the bulkhead that runs across the rear of the trans and the LS1 x-member bolts to the stamping just after the bulkhead where the LT1 fuel lines would normally route thru from the tunnel to the driver side of the underbody. The passenger side bolts to the same spot on both style f-bodies. The LS1 or 98-up convertible and hardtop/ttop have the same stamping with the conv adding the extra bracing to the perimeter. I have pics of the LS1 styles and possibly the LT1 but unsure how to post them and they are probably too big.
Hope this helps out some, Allan.
