my question is my driveshaft...do i have to get a custom driveshaft made or will the factory one work?

Re: trans coversion question

I think a 9" TH350 (aka long tail) is the same size, so you can use the same driveshaft.

Others have done it.

Re: trans coversion question

A 9 inch tailshaft on a TH350 will allow you to retain the stock driveshaft.
If your having the tranny custom built then just ask them to put a 9 inch tailshaft on it.
I am getting ready to do a TH350/TH400 (have not decided yet) conversion myself and most of the builders I have looked into will build it with either tailshaft.
